We are working with an award winning Education provider in the area of Molesey, Surrey. They are looking for a Chef for one of their Nurseries in the area.

We are looking for somebody with a passion for cooking, a talent for working within Early Years Education, and developing healthy, balanced and nutritious meals.

The role combines day-to-day management of the Kitchen, hands-on cooking, and operation management of the unit.

Main Duties

* Prepare and cook: All meals prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients, delivering to the nursery’s daily timetable.

* Dietary Requirements : Ensure all dietary requirements and allergies are appropriately catered for.

* Placing Orders & Budgets : Full responsibility for preparing and placing food orders weekly and to budget.

* Develop Menus: Work with the Head and Director to plan and implement a range of delicious menus and weaning plans.

* Sourcing Ingredients : Work with the Head and Director when sourcing new ingredients to ensure they meet the Nursery’s quality standards.

* Event Food: Prepare food for Nursery events taking place on and off site.

* Quality Control : Check quality of food delivered to ensure high standards are met.

* Confident and happy to work independently

* Thrives in a pressured environment.

* Creative in recipe ideas for seasonal recipe development and open to feedback when recipes need adjusting.

* Proactive approach to work and a strong use of initiative

The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

Refresh Recruitment does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

Salary: £25.5-33K per annum DOE

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Molesey, Surrey
