Quantity Surveyor – Construction & Refurbishment | Essex & London

Location: Essex / East London
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience + Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A well-established construction and property services company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and maintenance projects across London and the South East, alongside a renowned reputation for community investment, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organisation with a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.

* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.

* Monitor project progress and control costs throughout the lifecycle.

* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure commercial success.

* Conduct valuations, manage variations, and ensure timely payments.

* Provide accurate reporting and forecasting to senior management.

Ideal Candidate:

* Proven experience and steady career history as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or refurbishment sector.

* Previous experience of the social and affordable housing sector

* Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and cost control procedures.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

* Full UK driving licence preferred.
