Description

Water Treatment Engineer – Specialist Compliance & Treatment Works

If you’re an experienced Water Treatment Engineer who thrives on delivering compliance-driven and technically sound works across varied environments — this one’s for you. This is a hands-on role where your technical know-how, professionalism, and attention to detail will be front and centre. The projects are prepared and scoped — your job? Get it done, to a high standard.

You’ll be joining a business that’s growing fast and has carved out a strong reputation in water treatment and Legionella compliance across the healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sectors. The work is technically varied and rewarding — one day you might be carrying out closed system dosing, the next conducting a full Legionella risk assessment and advising the client on best practice. This isn’t box-ticking compliance — it’s about delivering real, measurable improvements to water systems.

We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in water treatment and hygiene services, confident in performing Legionella risk assessments (ACoP L8, HSG274), water sampling, disinfection works, and minor plumbing remedials. You’ll be the face of the business on site, liaising with clients, providing advice, and ensuring that records and reports are first-class. Strong knowledge of closed system treatment, BS 8558 standards, and compliance frameworks will be key.

You’ll be supported with Apple IT equipment, a quality training and development plan, and a team that understands the importance of getting the job done right — not rushing it. We want someone who’s professional, reliable, and takes real pride in their work.

This is a permanent role paying £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience, with 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, and great prospects for progression as the business continues to expand.
