A market leading organisation are looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to their growing design team in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. This company design and manufacture a range of fire detection technologies that are sold all over the UK.
The products are used within the consumer electronics industry and due to growth, they are looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to become a key member of their hardware development team.
Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer job in Cambridgeshire:
* Schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping and bench testing
* Build prototypes, proof of concept models, board bring-up, test, and documentation
* Contribute to product specifications, architecture, teardowns and cost optimisation initiatives
Key skills / experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer job in Cambridgeshire:
* Proven experience developing electronic products
* Strong knowledge and understanding of electronics, with hands-on experience
* Understanding of multidisciplinary product development and associated processes
* ATEX knowledge is advantageous
* A driving licence is required as the site in Cambridge is difficult to reach by public transport
This is a hybrid job with approximately 3-4 days per week on site depending on the project work taking place.
