Site Manager Required

Quokka Education is seeking a committed, hands-on Site Manager to join an outstanding special school for boys aged 10–16 with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, ADHD, and autism. The school has recently been rated Outstanding by Ofsted for both education and residential provision.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the ongoing maintenance and security of the school site and buildings

* Supervise and support contract cleaning staff

* Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks

* Complete routine checks and maintain statutory compliance records (including COSHH, legionella, risk assessments, health & safety, and fire systems)

* Oversee the school’s minibus fleet, ensuring all statutory checks and servicing are completed

Requirements:

* Full driving licence essential

* MIDAS training desirable (training can be provided)

* Must be flexible, practical, and willing to take a hands-on approach

* A genuine animal lover – care of the school’s fish tank in reception is part of the role

* A sympathetic, tolerant approach to the needs of our pupils is essential

Contract Details:

* Salary: E grade £32,149 - £35,241

* Hours: 37 hours per week

* Weeks: 52 weeks per year

* Annual Leave: 24 days

* Start Date: As soon as possible
