An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to work a double days-based shift pattern (6am – 2pm/2pm -10pm) for a growing manufacturer located in the West Bromwich Area.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for efficiently resolving the day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance issues in the plant.

This will include reacting to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks along with fault finding within mechanical and electrical environment.

Further responsibilities will include:

*Ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.

*Follow best mechanical and electrical engineering practices.

*Ensure all planned work is completed with minimal disruption to production

*Log all work carried out on the maintenance system.

Candidates will ideally be City and Guilds/BTEC trained in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical) Or be a Time served apprentice.

Electrical knowledge for circuitry and fault finding is essential but applications are welcomed from engineers who are biased mechanically or electrically as a robust training plan will be initiated on joining the business.
