ABC Teachers is seeking a vocational/Life Skills Practitioner (Non-Qualified Teaching Role) to work in an SEN School in Leamington Spa on a full-time permanent basis, supporting and educating students aged 11–19 with Autism.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with SEN experience helping young people develop in line with their academic and pastoral targets.

Deliver engaging group sessions focused on vocational and life skills.
Working from a purpose-designed base created for a small cohort of students.
Contribute to a warm, “homely” environment that supports emotional engagement and trust-building.
Play a key role in nurturing students and providing them with a personalised, supportive education experience.

About you:

Proven experience working with children and young people with Autism, including those with complex needs.
Ability to teach ICT & Computing effectively to students across a wide range of ages and abilities.
A deep and practical understanding of Autism, ideally supported by Autism Education Level 1 or Level 2 training.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both students and colleagues.
Desirable skills/experience

HLTA qualification
Competent in administering first aid.
Experience of teaching in a variety of educational settings.
A History of working with children who are disengaged with education .
