Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our metal fabrication processes. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the assembly and fabrication of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

* Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications

* Welding Sheet Metal to 1.5MM

* Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate welding processes

* Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts

* Perform stick welding as required for specific projects

* Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure adherence to quality standards

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements

* Troubleshoot any issues with welding equipment or processes as they arise

Experience

* Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and materials

* Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication is advantageous

* Mechanical knowledge is essential, along with the ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations

* Experience in assembling components using welding techniques is preferred

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills
