CarmichaelUK is recruiting for a Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a major highways infrastructure project with a Tier 1 contractor in Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to be part of a nationally significant programme, contributing to the delivery of new roads, junction upgrades, structures, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for highways works including earthworks, drainage, structures, and road construction

Ensure works are carried out safely and to specification

Produce and maintain accurate as-built records, ITPs, and QA documentation

Liaise with the Section Engineer and Foreman to ensure smooth progress on-site

Supervise subcontractors and coordinate site logistics

Assist in preparing daily records, permits, and method statements

Report progress and raise technical queries as required

About You:

Previous experience as a Site Engineer on major highways or infrastructure projects

Strong setting out experience using GPS, Total Station

Familiar with earthworks, drainage, pavement, and structure packages

Competent in producing QA and site documentation

Good understanding of Health & Safety standards and CDM regulations

CSCS card required | SMSTS or SSSTS desirable

Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
