We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher for a lovely, inclusive school located in Newham, starting September 2025. This is a full-time position. The school offers a supportive environment with a strong ethos of inclusion and community. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the needs of Year 1 students.

* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and enthusiasm for learning.

* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear development targets.

* Foster students’ independence and creativity, helping them build essential skills for future learning.

* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

* Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.

* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.

Year 1 Teacher Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, especially in Year 1.

* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

* A team-oriented approach and a passion for inclusive education.

* Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
