Our client, a respected and established organisation operating across key UK infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Plant Fitter to join their dedicated Plant Department. The Role:

As a Plant Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective maintenance and safe operation of a wide range of plant and equipment. Working as part of a skilled team and reporting to the Plant & Workshop Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of works across various project stages.

You will be responsible for upholding the company’s HSSEQ standards, supporting the clients operational priorities including Zero Harm and ensuring all plant and machinery is maintained to a high standard of reliability and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct maintenance and inspections of plant and equipment in line with manufacturers' guidance and company standards.
Complete and submit accurate service and inspection reports promptly.
Read and understand relevant Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and COSHH assessments before work begins.
Identify faults, report issues promptly, and assist with producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Maintain excellent awareness of health and safety requirements on-site and within workshops.
Monitor operator use and ensure correct greasing and upkeep procedures are followed.
Keep up to date with plant equipment technologies and operational best practices.
Support good housekeeping, maintain professional conduct, and represent the business positively at all times. Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience with a variety of construction and industrial plant (not small FLTs or diesel vehicle servicing).
Strong fault-finding ability and logical, methodical approach to maintenance issues.
Knowledge or experience of crane maintenance would be highly advantageous.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude to safe working.
Strong communication skills and ability to maintain high standards under pressure. Why Join?
