Description

Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing, forward-thinking infrastructure and land development company, currently seeking a driven Civil Engineer to join their in-house team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chartered or nearly chartered engineer to take on a dynamic and varied role, working across the full life cycle of land development and regeneration projects—from initial feasibility through to planning, detailed design and construction support.

The Role
As Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of development projects by providing expert engineering input and oversight. Working closely with colleagues across design, operations and senior management, you will help ensure infrastructure proposals are well-informed, technically sound, and delivered to the highest standards.
You’ll engage with external planning and engineering consultants, statutory authorities and regulatory bodies, guiding projects through the necessary approvals while ensuring ongoing compliance with legal and environmental requirements.
This role will be well-suited to someone looking to expand their project ownership and consultancy management skills, in an organisation that encourages personal development and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide engineering input during early-stage feasibility and site development proposals.
Assess geotechnical and civil factors such as in-situ soils, ground bearing capacities, earthworks, pavements, drainage and foundations.
Develop and review detailed technical designs, specifications and construction drawings.
Prepare technical scopes of work for the procurement of specialist consultants.
Manage and coordinate input from external engineering, planning and environmental consultants.
Review technical submissions to ensure they meet required standards.
Monitor statutory consents and ensure ongoing compliance across all stages of project delivery.
Support construction and estimating teams with technical guidance.
Conduct occasional site visits to the Humber region to oversee works and attend meetings.
Contribute to monthly progress reporting and key stakeholder updates. About You:

Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered or actively working towards chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g. ICE, IStructE).
Strong understanding of UK planning, engineering and consenting processes.
Demonstrable experience in infrastructure design and development (land development focus essential).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to the Humber site as needed. Why Apply?

Opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-impact regeneration projects.
Supportive environment for professional development and chartership progression.
Competitive salary and benefits package, with flexibility based on experience. If you are a proactive and technically proficient Civil Engineer looking to develop your career with a respected employer in the development sector, we’d love to hear from you.
