Proactive Personnel are excited to present an excellent opportunity to join our client as a Welder/Fabricator. If you’re a highly skilled welder with expertise in both MIG and TIG welding, we want to hear from you! You’ll be working with a variety of products for the motorsport, automotive, and other industries, with a focus on Stainless Steel and Aluminium welding.

About You
As a Fabricator/Welder, reporting to the Workshop Manager, you’ll be a vital member of the team, responsible for fabricating and welding products to the highest standard. You will be proficient in both MIG and TIG welding, especially on mild steel, and will have the ability to read and fabricate from technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

* MIG and TIG welding on a variety of products.

* Surface cleaning and polishing.

* Working unsupervised and managing your own workload.

* Ensuring health and safety policies are followed at all times.

* Maintaining accuracy and a keen attention to detail in every project.

* Focusing on delivering high-quality finished products.

* Time and project management to meet deadlines.

* Maintaining a professional and responsible approach to work.

Essential Criteria:

* Strong understanding of numerical and mathematical calculations and data.

* Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding on mild steel.

* Proficient in a wide variety of fabrication tooling and techniques.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Desirable Criteria:

* Previous experience in the motorsport fabrication industry.

* MIG/TIG welding qualifications.

* Experience with MIG and TIG welding on Stainless Steel and Aluminium.

Working Hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

* Friday: Early finish (2pm)

Pay Rate: £14.5-£15 per hour depending on experience
