About the Role

A well-regarded independent prep school in Sussex is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to teach pupils aged 7 to 13 (Years 3 to 8). The school offers a nurturing environment, strong academic outcomes, and a rich extra-curricular programme across the arts, sport, and outdoor learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging science lessons across the prep age range (Years 3–8)

*

Inspire curiosity and independent thinking through practical, hands-on science

Contribute to curriculum development and assessment planning

Support pupil progress in biology, chemistry, and physics

*

Participate fully in school life, including enrichment and form responsibilities

Candidate Profile

Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent experience in a prep or primary setting

Strong subject knowledge in general science or a science specialism
