Description

Science Teacher (Flexible on Specialism)

A high-achieving secondary school near Croxley Green is seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join their successful team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility on subject specialism. The ability to teach Chemistry or Physics to A-Level is highly desirable, though not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding Science Department that is both well-resourced and highly respected within the school. The department has an excellent track record of academic achievement at both GCSE and A-Level, with Separate Science proving especially popular - currently running eight Key Stage 4 classes.

The Science team consists of thirteen experienced and supportive teaching staff, as well as three dedicated science technicians. The department benefits from a strong culture of collaboration, regular sharing of best practice, and a commitment to delivering a practical, engaging curriculum that promotes curiosity and scientific thinking. Extra-curricular enrichment includes a KS3 Science Club, STEM initiatives, and dedicated study groups for KS4 and KS5.

The ability to teach across all key stages is essential, and applications from Early Career Teachers as well as experienced practitioners are warmly welcomed. Due to a recognised shortage of subject specialists, the school is also able to offer priority admissions for children of the successful candidate under their current admissions criteria.

This role is permanent, full-time and based in a school environment.
Salary: MPS - UPS (London Fringe)
