Payroll Specialist – Full Time (37.5 Hours per Week)

Are you an experienced Payroll professional ready to lead change and deliver exceptional service?

Our client is a thriving and forward-thinking accountancy practice seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, client-focused, and keen to play a key role in our software transition and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients.

* Lead the transition from the obsolete Earnie Payroll software to Sage 50 Payroll, ensuring a smooth and effective implementation.

* Ensure payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with current legislation.

* Deliver excellent customer service and be a key point of contact for client payroll queries.

* Drive improvements in internal payroll processing efficiencies and work with clients to make the exchange of information more effective and on time.

* Maintain and review accurate billing for payroll services, ensuring invoices reflect the scope of work and are issued regularly.

* Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll with accounting and advisory services.

What They’re Looking For:

* Proven experience in managing payroll within an accountancy practice or similar environment.

* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and best practices.

* Experience with Sage 50 Payroll and pension schemes is essential; familiarity with Xero is an advantage.

* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.

* Effective communicator and a supportive team player.

* Ability to manage change and drive improvements in processes and systems.
