Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ashton Under Lyne

XCL Group are working with a well established client who are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing site based in Ashton. With a growing customer base their busy site is under 24-7 production and the efficient running of the machines and plant is essential to meet the demands of the customers. The successful person must have a solid Electrical Engineer background with ideally some supervisory experience.

Job Responsibilities

· Working with a team of engineers who are multidisciplined and delegating / planning works to be carried out to minimise any down time.

· Maximising Efficiency within the plant and liaising with all production departments to plan in PPM.

· Documenting servicing, repairs & maintenance carried out by the engineering team and issuing permits and liaising with outside contractors to ensure all work is carried out correctly and in accordance with health and safety regulations.

· Overseeing projects for new machinery and commissioning the control panel upgrades across the site.

· General test and inspection of electrical work across the site and organising upcoming planned works.

· Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and undergoing regular training to refresh qualifications in house.

Job Requirements

· Must have hold an 18th Edition qualification.

· Must also have past experience in a similar role carrying out engineering works in a manufacturing environment.

· Ideally drive and have your own transport.

· Supervisory experience would be advantageous.

· Past experience with three phase plant equipment and inverters would be required.

Hours:

7am – 5pm Monday – Thursday

7am – 1pm Fridays (Overtime could be possible and must be flexible with this)
