Are you an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step up?

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established 3-bed EBD residential children’s home in Burton-upon-Trent, working with a values-led provider that prioritises therapeutic care, staff autonomy, and real career progression.

About the Role:

As Registered Manager, you will oversee daily operations, lead a stable and committed team, and maintain the home’s Good Ofsted rating. You’ll embed trauma-informed practice and ensure the safety, stability, and progress of children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

Lead and develop a team of Support Workers and Seniors

Foster a reflective, therapeutic, and empowering team culture

Provide mentoring, supervision, and performance support

Care & Safeguarding:

Ensure a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed environment

Lead on care planning, risk management and reflective practice

Collaborate with families, social workers, and multi-agency partners

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Maintain full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations

Uphold safeguarding and quality standards across the service

Drive continual improvement and positive inspection outcomes

Career Growth & Development:

Access to dual registration and service manager pathways

Specialist CPD including therapeutic coaching and leadership training

Clear internal progression across a growing provider

Requirements:

Proven leadership experience in residential childcare

Registered Manager or Deputy with Level 5 (or working towards)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the last 5 within a children’s home

Deep understanding of EBD, trauma-informed practice, and regulation

Compassionate, accountable leadership style
