Description

Junior Procurement Officer – Solar Projects (Rome)

Are you looking to take the next step in your renewable energy career with a company leading Italy’s clean energy transition?
Do you want to gain hands-on experience in the procurement of solar infrastructure across large scale projects?
Are you motivated by the opportunity to work closely with experienced technical and commercial teams in a dynamic, delivery focused environment?

If so, look no further…

A foundational and practical position has arisen for a Junior Procurement Officer to join one of Europe’s most committed independent renewable energy platforms, focused on the development, construction, and operation of solar PV projects.

Based in Rome, this role will support the Procurement and Engineering teams in managing supplier relationships and sourcing for solar projects in the 8–10MW range, whilst also contributing to the operations of a portfolio with over 600MW under maintenance. You’ll work five days a week from the office or on site, helping to ensure the smooth and cost efficient delivery of Italy’s next generation of solar infrastructure.

Why the Junior Procurement Officer position is something you should apply for: You’ll be part of a company with a long term vision for clean energy and sustainable development, known for its hands on execution approach and growing presence across Europe. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage in your career and learn from senior professionals in procurement, engineering, and project management, while gaining exposure to live projects from procurement through to commissioning.

As part of a tight knit Rome based team, you’ll develop expertise in supply chain management, negotiation, supplier coordination, and procurement strategy. All within a fast moving, financially backed, solar energy business that is scaling rapidly across Italy and beyond.

The successful Junior Procurement Officer will:

Hold a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Have 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in procurement or supply chain within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
Demonstrate strong communication and organisation skills, with a high level of accuracy and ownership.
Support the full procurement cycle for solar projects, including RFQs, PO issuance, supplier coordination, and cost analysis.
Be based in Rome and available to work on site or in office five days per week, collaborating closely with the engineering, construction, and project delivery teams.

In return, the successful individual will receive an attractive compensation package including:

Competitive base salary and benefits package
Annual performance bonus up to 50%
Travel and project support expenses
