Looking for a Class Teacher in Blandford!

Position: Class Teacher
Location: Blandford
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 Annually (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: September 2025
Job Type: Full-time

Are you an inspirational Class Teacher with a passion for making a difference? GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a supportive school in Blandford from September 2025 as a Class Teacher.

This is a supportive setting for students who have been excluded from mainstream education due to a variety of reasons, such as behavioural challenges or emotional dysregulation. About the role:

As a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding students through their educational journey. You will lead a class team, contribute to the school's inclusive ethos, and help shape the future of learners with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on student needs.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and development.
Provide support and guidance on educational, social, and emotional issues.
Foster student well-being and academic growth.
Communicate effectively with parents, governors, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with school leadership and peers on curriculum and teaching methods.
Promote and maintain discipline, safety, and a supportive learning environment.
Participate in school events, administrative duties, and staff development sessions.
Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and data protection.
Mentor and support new teachers, set targets, and contribute to staff development.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree desirable)
Training or qualifications in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Experience working with young people with additional needs
