Job Title: Unqualified Teacher
Location: Blandford
Salary: £18,000 to £25,000 (Annually)
Start date: September / Immediate
Contract type: Full Time/Part time

If so, GSL Education are currently looking for unqualified teachers to join a local school based in Blandford immediately, with the option to begin in September as well.

The school supports students who have been excluded from mainstream education, which could be for a variety of reasons, such as - behaviour, emotional dysregulation etc. The school therefore emphasises the importance of collaboration between staff, students, parents, and management for success. Staff undergo regular training and updates on behaviour support strategies from various professionals and agencies. Special Educational Needs and Disability strategies are meticulously planned and monitored to ensure optimal outcomes for all pupils, irrespective of SEND status.

About the Role:

As an unqualified teacher, you would guide students in learning essential life skills, focusing on practical knowledge and personal development to help them navigate everyday challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the learning and development of students with diverse needs, using tailored strategies and approaches.
Create a positive, inclusive, and calm classroom atmosphere where children can thrive.
Deliver aspects of the National Curriculum adapted to suit the individual needs of pupils.
Collaborate with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to ensure every child’s needs are met.
Foster resilience, independence, and self-esteem in students.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons in line with individual learning plans.
Promote the school’s ethos of respect, safety, and well-being.
Requirements:

Enthusiasm for working with children with complex needs and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
A flexible and creative approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles.
A calm and patient demeanour, with strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate attitude.
No formal teaching qualification required, but previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable.
A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
