Job Title: Art and Design Teacher
Location: Blandford
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS)
Start date: September 2025
Contract type: Permanent (Full Time/Part time)

About the Role:
As an Art and Design Teacher, you will work with students who have complex and diverse needs. Creativity is a central pillar of your teaching, providing students with a safe outlet for self-expression and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, accessible art lessons tailored to individual emotional and behavioural needs
Encourage self-expression and emotional regulation through creative activities
Collaborate closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, and the Dorset SEND team
Maintain a structured, respectful, and trusting classroom environment
Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture where all students feel valued and proud of their achievements
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience in art or SEN settings
Strong background in Art or Art Education
Experience working with students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Creative, resilient, patient, and committed to inclusive teaching practices

To work with GSL Education as an Art and Design Teacher, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.
