Academics is looking for a Qualified English Teacher to join a thriving Secondary Academy in Filey. We are searching for a committed and knowledgeable educator who can deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature, fostering a deep appreciation for reading, writing, and critical analysis in students.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS), PGCE, or equivalent qualifications in English.
Proven experience teaching English up to A-level, with a strong grasp of both English Language and Literature in line with the National Curriculum.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, preparing students for GCSE and A-level exams with confidence.
A commitment to developing students' analytical, writing, and communication skills, encouraging a love for literature from classic texts to contemporary works.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
A passion for inspiring students to think critically, engage with diverse texts, and develop their unique voices through creative and academic writing.
