Plant Operator (3 Month Contract)

£28,000 - £34,000

Alecto Recruitment is partnering with an established figure within the Anaerobic Digestion sector who are building a portfolio of Anaerobic Digestion facilities. My client is looking for an operator to cover a 3 month period helping with day to day operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Working on a 4 on/ 4off shift pattern covering the day to day operations on the Anaerobic Digestion plant.
Running the plant via a DCS or SCADA system, diagnosing and troubleshooting site issues.
Visual plant and equipment fault-finding.
Performing first line maintenance activities, such as isolating and changing a pump.
Feeding the fuel into the hoppers/plant.
Driving a Telehandler and other machinery on site.
Keeping the site clean and tidy.
Contributing to positive site operations and looking for continuous improvement opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

A qualification in an engineering discipline would be ideal (NVQ in mechanical or electrical engineering for example)
Telehandler license and able to drive mobile plant.

Knowledge and Experience:

Anaerobic Digestion experience is desirable.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Experience operating SCADA systems.
Commitment to achieve the highest standards of work at all times.
Takes full ownership of tasks through to conclusion of
