gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Senior Proposal Engineer to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City
Performance Objectives

Preparing and delivering proposals to support sales efforts and drive through to completion
To ensure that proposals are in line with corporate branding and agreed styles
Interacting with customers and suppliers to understand requirements and specifications
Collaborating with Commercial, Tooling, Engineering and quality to formulate bid processes for customer requests
Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines
Gathering and analysing technical and financial data for future bids and develop, review and improve processes, on an ongoing basis, to create quality proposal documents
Provide and meet departmental KPI'sPerson Specification

A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English, Maths & Physics;
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering - Equivalent or above
Advanced level CAM
Experience of tool design and manufacture in various materials.
CAD 2D/3D software for drafting & modelling.
Experience with proposal development and sales support.
Good understanding of the Design for Manufacture philosophy to enable right first-time customer bids.
Ability/experience of using online customer portals to manage tenders
Understanding of Hard Metal forming techniques.
Report writing & presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills
PC literate with intermediate skills in Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Desirable

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Aircraft Industry
Experience of Hot forming, SPF, Presswork
MS Project & Visio & project managementApply
