About the role

-KS1 Class Teacher, full time Monday to Friday (Apply online only)

-September 2025 start until October half term

-Covering long term sickness absence so could be extended

-Paid to scale (minimum of £166.32 per day through the Welsh Framework)

-Weekly pay every Friday, opportunities for CPD within the School and through Teaching Personnel ourselves

-Large primary School located near Barry, 500 pupils on roll

-Excellent transport links by train or bus, and has access to free parking

-Last ESTYN report was GOOD

-Behaviour is very good with little/ no issues within the classroom

-Just over 25% of pupils are Free School Meals entitled

-This school is innovative and forward-thinking, always looking to support the emotional, physical and learning needs of all their children. Additionally, they support their learners to develop their ‘Learner Capacities’ in order that they better understand themselves as learners and are able to take increasing responsibility for their learning

About you

-You will be required to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Primary Teaching

-Preferable experience in teaching Year groups 1-3

-Experience in teaching students with Additional Learning Needs would be advantageous, as most classes have at least some learners with ALN

-You will also need to be fully registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

-To be put forward for this role, you would need to undergo a 30-minute face to face registration with Teaching Personnel which would include reference and DBS checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
