Job Vacancy: Food Technology Teacher – September to December 2025

Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Colne
Contract: Fixed-term (September – December 2025)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Colne from September to December 2025 (initially on a fixed-term basis). This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in a subject that is both creative and essential to everyday life.

The Role

Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons in line with the national curriculum
Foster a love of cooking, nutrition, and food science among students
Maintain high standards of classroom management and pupil achievement
Collaborate with the wider Design & Technology faculty
The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
A genuine passion for the subject and a creative approach to teaching
Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and forward-thinking team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
