Location: Membury
Reports to: Managing Director / COO
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £80-90,000 per annum plus additional benefits

My client is a leading construction company specializing in the design, build, and delivery of temporary spectator stands and event structures for major stadiums and sporting events across the region. With a reputation for excellence, safety, and innovation, they’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Projects to lead our project delivery function.

Position Overview

As Head of Projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of all construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll lead a team of project managers and site teams across multiple high-profile events and installations, with a focus on large-scale scaffolding-based temporary structures.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, plan, and manage multiple temporary stand projects from inception to completion.

* Oversee project management teams and site operations across multiple active sites.

* Liaise with clients, contractors, designers, and internal teams to define scopes, timelines, and resource needs.

* Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.

* Manage budgets, schedules, logistics, and risk across all projects.

* Implement and improve project management methodologies, reporting systems, and performance tracking.

* Provide strategic input to senior leadership on operational planning, capacity, and growth opportunities.

* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and support project teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

* Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction project management, including scaffolding and temporary structure projects.

* Proven experience delivering large-scale temporary or modular structures, preferably in sports or event environments.

* Strong technical knowledge of scaffolding systems, temporary works design, and structural safety.

* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills across multiple concurrent projects.

* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, temporary works procedures, and health & safety legislation.

* Excellent stakeholder communication, negotiation, and client management skills.

* Proficient in project management tools and construction scheduling software

* Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

* SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, and Scaffold Inspection certifications are highly desirable.

Desirable Attributes

* Passion for high-pressure, fast-paced event environments.

* Experience working internationally or on high-profile sporting events (e.g., Olympics, World Cup).

* Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage last-minute changes with professionalism.
