Description

Our client, a dedicated data centre delivery partner, is currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Helsinki, Finland. This is a permanent, full-time position in the Engineering sector within the specialised field of Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Management team and Site Health & Safety lead
Adhere to project & client's Safety Management Systems
Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions & legislation
Review Method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permit to work
Carry out regular site audits and inspections, documenting results and following up on any corrective actions
Maintain records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools, and plant
Ensure project sub-contractors adhere to EHS policies & procedures
Coordinate, manage, and maintain client's induction & training
Compile and deliver Toolbox talks as necessary
Assist or conduct accident investigation reports and communicate findings to project management
Maintain welfare & hygiene facilities and ensure waste reduction and recycling programmes are upheld

Job Requirements:

Relevant third-level degree qualification in Health & Safety
Experience in large construction sites and thorough knowledge of current EHS legislation
Flexibility in working patterns when necessary
Strong communication and computer skills
Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health, and safety issues on site
Must have an EU passport.
