Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for Autism
Location: Seaford
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate /September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a gentle and understanding 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for Autism at a warm and inclusive school in Seaford. We have both part-time and full-time options available, and the role can be short-term or long-term.

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for Autism, your job is to support one student with autism during the school day. Your support will make school a more positive and enjoyable place for the student.

What You Will Do:

Work one-to-one with a student who has autism, supporting their needs throughout the day.
Help the student understand instructions and complete tasks at their own pace.
Support their emotional well-being and encourage positive behaviour.
Work closely with teachers and other staff to follow the student’s support plan.
Use calm and simple communication to help the student feel understood and safe.
Assist with movement around the school if needed, and support during breaks.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children with autism or additional needs is an advantage.
A good listener who can follow instructions and adapt to different situations.
Positive attitude and a real desire to help young children learn and grow.
A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
