Join Our Team โ€“ Secondary Outreach Tutors Needed in Great Dunmow!

Are you an experienced tutor looking to make a real impact on students who struggle in mainstream education? New Way Tuition Ltd is searching for passionate and dedicated Outreach Tutors to provide 1:1 English and Maths tuition to secondary-age students with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges in Great Dunmow and surrounding areas.

Our tailored sessions take place in homes, libraries, or school settings, offering personalised support to help students build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve academic success.

๐ŸŒŸ The Role โ€“ What Youโ€™ll Be Doing:

As a Secondary Outreach Tutor, your role will be varied and rewarding. You will:

๐Ÿ“– Deliver engaging, 1:1 tuition in English and Maths, tailored to individual learning levels (up to GCSE/Functional Skills)
๐ŸŒŸ Support students with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges, helping them develop academic and personal skills
๐ŸŽฏ Create and adapt lesson plans based on studentsโ€™ needs, interests, and learning styles
๐Ÿ’ก Use creative and flexible teaching strategies to encourage progress, including multi-sensory approaches, technology, and visual aids
๐Ÿ’ฌ Build strong relationships with students, parents, and schools to ensure progress and engagement
๐Ÿ” Monitor student development, providing feedback and reports to track achievements and areas for improvement

๐Ÿ“Œ What Weโ€™re Looking For โ€“ Do You Fit the Role?

โœ” Experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with SEN, SEMH, or disengaged students
โœ” Strong English and Maths skills, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level
โœ” QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or a relevant degree (preferred but not essential)
โœ” Experience supporting students with Autism, Selective Mutism, Global Developmental Delay, or behavioural challenges
โœ” Confidence in adapting lessons to meet different learning needs
โœ” Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and professionals
โœ” A current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
