School Caretaker – Bridgend Area
Full-Time | Split Shift or Full Day Patterns Available

Hoop Education is working closely with schools across Bridgend to recruit dedicated, dependable, and community-focused School Caretakers.

As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for pupils, staff, and visitors—aligning with Hoop’s core values of integrity, care, and commitment to educational wellbeing.

Working Hours:
Positions are full-time and follow either a split shift (typically early morning and late afternoon) or a full day shift, depending on school requirements.

Rate of pay:

Rate of pay will be dependant on the shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

Opening and securing the school site

*

General maintenance, minor repairs, and cleaning duties

*

Ensuring safety across school buildings and outdoor areas

*

Reporting any faults or maintenance issues promptly

Requirements:

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

*

Reliable transport to Bridgend-based schools (car, bike, or public transport)

*

A positive, proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility

*

No previous experience necessary—training and support provided
