My client based on the outskirts of St Ives Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operator on a full time permanent basis. We are seeking candidates with basic electro-mechanical skills to work in an expanding team.

· Monday - Friday

· 8am - 4pm

· Own transport required due to location

· £25-27,000 per annum DOE

Common duties may include:

· Assembling different electronic components using hand tools and soldering irons.

· Drilling and basic machining on plastic/metal enclosures using machine tools such as pillar-drills.

· Testing finished products and parts.

· Identifying and rectifying product defects and assembly problems, replacing faulty components when necessary.

· Following clean room procedures and safety protocols to handle sensitive electronic components.

· Collaborating with other team members to optimise production processes and quality.

· Packing goods for dispatch

What Does it Take?

You need to be:

· good at working with your hands (you will be given a test during the interview)

· willing to learn new skills and procedures

· aware of strict health and safety rules.

You need to be able to:

· cope with repetitive work

· follow instructions closely

understand diagrams

· handle small components

· safely handle machining equipment such as drills

· work quickly and accurately under pressure

· work well in a team and alone.
