Job Advertisement: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Bideford, North Devon
Salary: £100-£110 per day
Contract: Fixed term, January start for one year (Maternity Cover)

An SEMH school in Bideford, North Devon, is seeking a committed and empathetic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team. Our school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students who find mainstream education challenging due to behavioural difficulties and the impact of past trauma.

The Role:

Support students across all key stages in their academic and personal development.
Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions and small group sessions.
Help create a safe and inclusive environment where students feel valued and supported.
Collaborate with the wider school team to provide holistic care and support.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or similar environment.
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Excellent communication and team-working skills.
