We are working on behalf of a respected and well-established multi-purpose venue to recruit an experienced Venue Services Manager with a strong background in housekeeping operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that sits at the centre of the venue’s operational delivery, ensuring high standards are met before, during, and after a wide range of events.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading the housekeeping function, supporting events, managing staff, and overseeing a variety of compliance, stock control, and improvement activities. It’s a role well-suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys building motivated teams, and takes real pride in operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Leading and coordinating the housekeeping team during events and venue changeovers

* Line management of Team Leaders, including recruitment, rota planning, training, and HR matters

* Maintaining and improving systems for health & safety, COSHH, risk assessments, and compliance audits

* Managing budgets and overseeing procurement of equipment, cleaning supplies, and PPE

* Driving continuous improvement, including deep cleaning programmes and equipment replacement planning

* Implementing recycling and waste management strategies

* Acting as Manager on Duty as required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts

Candidate Profile

* Solid experience in facilities or housekeeping management, ideally in events, venues, or hospitality settings

* Excellent team leadership and communication skills

* A strong understanding of health and safety policies and COSHH regulations

* A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to manage both day-to-day operations and longer-term planning

* Confidence handling budgets, stock, and procurement

* Physical fitness to support manual tasks where needed
