Qualified Science Teacher - Holmes Chapel Area
Location: Holmes Chapel, Cheshire
Salary: £120 - £190 per day
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

About the Role:

Simply Education is recruiting passionate and knowledgeable Qualified Science Teachers for schools in the Holmes Chapel area. If you enjoy making science accessible and exciting and want to inspire students to explore biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science, this is a fantastic opportunity.
Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, you'll be delivering stimulating lessons that foster curiosity and scientific thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach lessons across the science curriculum, including practical experiments and theory.
* Assessment & Monitoring: Use a variety of assessment tools to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment.
* Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN, EAL, and varying academic needs.
* Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and develop cross-curricular initiatives.
* Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Ensure safety during practical lessons and promote student welfare.
* Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in science education and pedagogy.Key Skills & Qualities:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Strong subject knowledge in all science disciplines.
* Ability to inspire and engage students across a range of abilities.
* Effective classroom management and communication skills.
* Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable teaching approach.
* Organised and reflective practitioner.Essential Requirements:

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Science in line with the UK national curriculum.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).Desirable:

Experience preparing students for GCSE or A-Level Science.
* Confidence managing and conducting practical experiments safely.
* Familiarity with integrating technology and digital tools into lessons.Apply Now
