Description

Site Administrator needed ASAP - Join a bustling HS2 site office at Chipping Warden, where hundreds of HS2 personnel converge daily. You’ll be at the heart of operations—coordinating inductions, managing diaries for senior management, and keeping the site running like clockwork. If you thrive in a fast-paced, open-plan environment and enjoy supporting a dynamic team, this is the perfect opportunity to jump in and accelerate your career.

Key Responsibilities

*

Coordinate Site Inductions: Schedule and book inductions for new team members, ensuring all paperwork and safety briefings are completed.

*

Materials Management: Call off and order materials for the site, liaising with suppliers and tracking deliveries to keep workflows on track.

*

Diary Support: Maintain calendars for senior managers—book appointments, arrange travel or accommodations if needed, and prepare meeting agendas.

*

Minute-Taking: Attend site meetings and toolbox talks, producing clear, concise minutes and following up on action items.

*

Coordination: Keep the open-plan site office organized—manage incoming calls, distribute mail, and maintain filing systems.

*

Team Liaison: Act as the central point of contact between site teams, subcontractors, and office stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.

What We’re Looking For

*

Experience: Proven track record in an administrative or coordination role; experience with site support is a bonus but not essential.

*

Microsoft Office Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams—comfortable creating spreadsheets, reports, and presentations on tight deadlines.

*

Confidence Under Pressure: You’re unflappable when things get busy; you prioritize tasks effectively and thrive on a fast-moving workload.

*

Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to liaise with managers, suppliers, and site staff.

*

Organisational Mindset: Able to juggle multiple diaries, track material orders, and keep a lively office environment running smoothly.

*

Positive Attitude: You enjoy the hustle and bustle of an open-plan site office and see every challenge as an opportunity.

*

Construction Awareness (Preferred): Previous exposure to construction sites or HS2-related projects is helpful—but not a deal-breaker.

What We Offer

*

Vibrant Work Environment: Be part of a large HS2 compound with hundreds of colleagues working toward a shared mission—your day will fly by.

*

Career Progression: This role is your foot in the door. As the project grows, you’ll have opportunities to develop new skills (site coordination, project support, supply chain administration) and advance within the HS2 program
