Description

Madisons Recruitment are looking for Pipe Layers on a temporary contract for long term contract in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications to determine pipe layout, depth, and alignment.
Excavate trenches using hand tools or machinery, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
Install and position pipes in trenches, carefully aligning them according to the project specifications.
Connect and seal pipes using appropriate fittings, couplings, and joints.
Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks, using pressure gauges or other specialized tools.
Backfill trenches and compact soil to restore the ground surface to its original condition.
Operate construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, or pipe-laying machines, as required.
Collaborate with a team of construction workers and coordinate tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, reporting any issues or delays to the supervisor.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements

CSCS Card
Own tools
All rounder Pipe Layer/Groundworker
Ability to commute to Alconbury
Benefits

£20.00 - £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Long term contract for all round candidates
Start 1st week of July 2025
Weekly pay
CIS/UTR/LTD payments
