Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager on behalf of a leading national Facilities Management company.

The Assistant Facilities Manager will support the FM as a key focal point for client interactions, day to site operations and tactical planning of resources to deliver against contractual targets.

This is initially a Fixed Term position up until the end of the year but could be extended or made permanent depending on contractual requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Manage all aspects of Health & Safety on site in accordance with legislation and customer policies.

* Ensure first class service is delivered to any person who works in or visits the buildings and pro-actively improve the contractual KPIs.

* Develop and encourage Facilities team members who all deliver excellent service alongside their daily duties.

* Propose ideas for cost control and profit generation

* Anticipate resource shortages in labour materials and plant and plan/schedule to avoid issues arising.

* Managing and coordinating work of contractors and in-house teams.

* Investigating availability and suitability of options for alternative service delivery options

* Assist the FM in calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.

* Liaising with the helpdesk and other members of the wider account to ensure priorities are met.

* Planning best allocation and utilisation team resources for day-to-day service delivery.

* Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.

* To deputise the FM in their absence, assuming their responsibilities and delegating effectively

Experience and Qualifications

* Experience within the FM Sector at a similar level, managing delivery, teams, individuals and client relationships.

* Demonstrable experience of managing governance and compliance functions.

* Excellent MS Office IT skills

* Core H&S certificates and related experience.

* Good communication skills at all levels

* Professional, presentable, flexible, approachable, efficient, self-motivated, able to motivate others.
