Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking a Business Controller / Management Accountant on an initial 6-month contract to join our client's Finance team in Broughton.

The client is offering up to £39.98 per hour Umbrella, the role is Inside of IR35. This is hybrid opportunity with 4 days required on-site per week

Our client is a leading organisation in the aerospace sector. They are committed to delivering timely and accurate financial information to a wide range of stakeholders. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a talented and driven Business Controller / Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

Role Overview:
This is a pivotal role within the business unit controlling function, focusing on management accounting. The position offers a mix of recurring and ad-hoc responsibilities, with opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to strategic projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, performance analysis, and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes across all business units, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
Collaborate with operational managers to identify and validate improvement projects for inclusion in budget planning.
Deliver timely and insightful financial reporting to both local and central teams, highlighting performance trends and potential risks.
Provide financial challenge and support to operational teams, driving performance improvements and mitigation strategies.
Evaluate business cases and investment proposals, ensuring robust financial analysis and challenge of assumptions.
Support financial controlling activities across key categories including Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost, and Capex (Jigs/Tools).

Required Skills & Experience:

Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment.
Proficiency in SAP or similar financial reporting systems.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple levels and geographies.
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
