The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing technical expertise, overseeing quality control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure efficient and accurate execution of works.
Key Responsibilities
*
Setting out and surveying construction works in accordance with design specifications.
*
Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest quality and in line with project requirements.
*
Monitoring and reporting on progress, materials, and resources.
*
Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
*
Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built drawings and daily reports.
*
Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
*
Assisting with site planning and coordination to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
*
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
*
Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering, utilities, or groundworks.
*
Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction methods.
*
Proficiency in using surveying equipment (GPS, EDM, Total Station, etc.).
*
Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations (CSCS card required).
*
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*
Willingness to travel and work on sites nationwide as required.
Desirable Skills
*
Experience with AutoCAD or other engineering software.
*
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
*
Experience in utilities, highways, or infrastructure projects.
