Job Title: Employee Services Assistant (Recruitment)
Salary: £13.69 P/H PAYE (Inclusive of Holiday Pay) | £15.66 LTD Umbrella
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week (Part Time Considered)
Type: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Carmarthenshire, SA31 | Hybrid (2 days in office, up to 5 days during initial training)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday | 09:00 – 17:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a committed and proactive Employee Services Assistant to join a dynamic recruitment team within a local authority in Carmarthenshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-quality recruitment and selection services while ensuring a professional standard of customer care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Process recruitment data accurately and in line with procedures and safeguarding standards.
Maintain and update recruitment templates and guidance documentation.
Assist with the full recruitment cycle, from advertising to appointment.
Coordinate with hiring managers regarding interviews, pre-employment checks, and job offers; respond to queries from applicants and colleagues.
Support the administration of DBS documentation where required.
Manage and maintain manual and electronic HR/payroll records, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
Retrieve and analyse data to support timely and accurate HR responses.
Assist in improving and reviewing HR procedures and processes.
Develop excellent working relationships with colleagues through effective and timely communication and support.
Undertake a variety of administrative tasks as needed.Qualifications and Experience:
NVQ Level 2 or higher in Business Administration or equivalent qualification/experience.
Excellent ICT skills and a sound understanding of customer care principles.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
Proven experience in detail-oriented administrative roles.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience using HR/payroll systems is desirable.
Welsh language skills are desirable.
Additional qualifications such as CIPD Level 3 or CIPP Certificate are advantageous.
