Project Manager – M&E Projects (Mechanical & Electrical)

**Location:** Office-based (with weekly site visits)

**Salary:** £60,000 + 10% Bonus (KPI-based)

**Benefits:** Tesla Model 3 / Model Y (or equivalent company car)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and deliver our high-profile Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installations across multiple industries. This is an office-based role, with the expectation that the Project Manager will attend on-site meetings at each project at least once per week, providing both strategic oversight and operational support as needed.

You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle—from initiation through delivery—with a strong emphasis on quality control, inspection and test plans, and the management of diverse technical teams and subcontractors.

Current Projects You Will Lead

• UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), Culham, Oxford
Duration: 9 months
Value: £1.5 million
Scope: Process services installation including compressors, bottled gas systems, and demineralised water systems.

• Cranfield University – Propulsion Research Projects test rigs
Scope: Multiple test rig installations involving industrial pipework, compressed air systems, and PLC commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Full ownership of M&E project delivery including scope, timeline, cost, and quality control.
- Attend weekly on-site project meetings to coordinate progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain stakeholder engagement.
- Implement and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Project Quality Plans (PQPs) with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee health and safety compliance, risk management, and project documentation.
- Ensure successful commissioning, documentation, and project handover.

Key Requirements

- Strong background managing high-value M&E projects, ideally across industrial or research settings.
- Proven experience with mechanical services, industrial process systems, and quality control frameworks.
- Detail-focused with a solid understanding of documentation and compliance (especially ITPs and PQPs).
- Excellent communication and site coordination skills.
- Able to start immediately and commit to regular office attendance and site visits as required.
