We’re delighted to introduce an exciting Membership Executive vacancy within a local professional organisation, known for providing valuable support and resources to its members.
This dynamic job promises the successful applicant a fantastic opportunity to combine strategic outreach with consultative business development, and in turn drive growth by forging meaningful business relationships and engaging with companies to showcase the services of the organisation and the value of membership.
Along with the convenience and flexibility of a hybrid working pattern, the role offers a competitive salary and a great rewards package including a generous holiday allowance, pension and commission scheme.
* £28,000 - £32,000
* Hybrid working; 2 days on-site, 3 days WFH – 37 hours per week
* Discretionary 15% annual bonus (following probationary period)
* 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
* 8% employer pension contributions
* Free parking
Duties and responsibilities:
* Professionally representing the business to a wide range of stakeholders by phone, email and occasionally in person
* Delivering agreed sales targets whilst upholding brand values
* Identifying opportunities to maximise value through sales and business development
* Managing and developing existing relationships with Members and Associate Members to sell a range of products including advertising, training courses, and events packages
* Working with peers and developing relationships with our other departments to drive sales and meet the overall mission and objectives of the organisation
* Attending relevant industry events to build relationships and stay informed
* Keeping up to date with external trends and competitor activity
Skills and experience:
* ​​​​​​​Proven track record of success in an account management role, ideally in a B2B environment
* Experience within the logistics industry or a membership association is preferred but is not essential
* Highly accomplished at building long-term stakeholder relationships
* Excellent communication and listening skills
* Commercially astute, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently
* IT proficient, with a good knowledge of MS Office
* Positive, proactive working approach with a helpful and engaging approach
* A valid Driving Licence is necessary for the requirements of the role
