Press Brake Operator

* £15.89 per hour

Working for a specialist engineering company based in Bacup, specialists in sheet-metal fabrication and specialist welding. Due to an expanding order book my client are looking for an experienced press brake operator.

The Job

* Operating and setting press brakes (AMADA)

* Reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings

* Responsible for operating machinery used to bend and shape metal sheets into various forms requiring high precision and accuracy.

About you

* Time-served Press Brake Operator with a minimum of 3 years’ experience

* Proven experience operating and setting press brakes (AMADA)

* Confident reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings

Desirable

* Skilled in working to tight tolerances; accurate bending and folding of sheet metal

* Experience inputting data into CNC controls and adjusting machine settings

* Sheet metal background

* Experience with guillotines and general fabrication equipment

* MIG welding capability to support fabrication tasks as needed
