Role: Commissioning Technician (Perm Role or Contract Available)
Location: Newcastle
Hours: Monday-Friday (37.5 Hours per week)
Hourly rate: Circa 50K + Overtime
GPS are looking for experienced Commissioning Technician to Provide technical support to projects throughout the business and liaising between Customers, Engineering and Project Managers to provide clients with quality product, commissioned to the requirements of the project and specification.
Key responsibilities:
Ensuring vehicles and associated equipment have been correctly manufactured
Diagnosing and fixing faults
Functional testing of equipment
Ensuring test paperwork is correctly completed
Demonstrating systems to customers
Answering technical queries
Continuous improvement
QA checks
Work off site when required.
Travel worldwide where required to work both on land and offshore
Key Skills/Experience Required:
· Previous experience working in a similar position
· Relevant HNC qualification
· Time served technician with fault finding experience
· Control & Instrumentation experience
· Basic mechanical & hydraulic knowledge
· Basic PLC knowledge & experience
· Offshore Survival certificates (desirable)
