Estimator – Housing / Residential Construction
📍 Location: Leeds
💼 Full-Time | Permanent
💰 Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (DOE)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded housebuilding contractor based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator with a background in residential construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a busy and growing company delivering high-quality housing developments across Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for housing projects
Analyse drawings, specifications, and development plans
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities, and risk assessments
Support land viability appraisals and early-stage development costing
Work closely with commercial and construction teams to ensure accurate project handovers
Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving solutions✅ Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator within the residential housing sector (private or social housing)
Strong knowledge of traditional build methods, materials, and residential procurement routes
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
Confident communicator and team player
