Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering
📍 Location: Hull
💼 Full-Time | Permanent
💰 Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (DOE) + Package
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable civil engineering contractor in Hull who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QS with a strong background in civils to take on a key role within a well-established business working on infrastructure, groundworks, and civil projects across the region.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Managing commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from start to finish
Preparing and reviewing contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitoring costs and ensuring budgets are maintained
Working closely with site teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting
Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and industry regulations✅ Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector
Strong knowledge of NEC or other relevant contract types
Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
Proficient in cost reporting, tendering, and managing subcontractor accounts
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field preferred, but not essential if experienced
