CNC Machinist - Double Days

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Machinist.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the CNC Machinist will be responsible for:

* Online Programming & operating of CNC machinery

* Selection of tooling and set up- Cutter and holders

* Selection and set up of work piece holding devices- Set up fixtures/vices/clamping systems

* Interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements

* Monitoring of machines performance, making adjustments to program data (Speeds, Feeds etc)

* In process and Post process inspection using both visual and precision measuring tool methods

* Operation of Heidenhain /Fanuc CNC Control systems

* Create components within specification to engineering drawings

* Work with programming team to feedback information for machining programme efficiency improvements

* Support in all aspects of Fixture assembly cell manufacturing.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship and 3 axis CNC experience.
