Engineer – Tier 1 Main Contractor – Cambridgeshire

A Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an Engineer to join their team in the Cambridgeshire region. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading business on multiple new-build projects, supporting delivery and ensuring quality across the board.

You will join an established Engineer already covering the region, with the workload now requiring additional support due to several new projects starting.

The Role:
This is not a traditional setting-out heavy role, as subcontractors carry out much of the day-to-day engineering. Instead, you’ll be providing oversight and assurance, ensuring quality and compliance across projects. Key duties include:

*

Setting out key gridlines when required

*

Conducting spot checks on subcontractor work

*

Overseeing test plans and ensuring compliance with specifications

*

Supporting QA and documentation processes

*

Providing technical guidance to project teams

Requirements:

*

Previous experience as an Engineer on construction projects

*

Strong knowledge of QA, compliance, and setting out

*

Ability to work across multiple sites within Cambridgeshire

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

Main contractor experience preferred
